Experiences on Kauai
Beaches and Surf !
South Shore beaches are known for their summer swells!
Lawa'i Beach
Great spot for good waves, about a 5 minute bike or car ride from The Club, also a great spot to go with non-surfers, there is plenty of beach and lawn to watch.
Kukui'ula Harbor Beach
No wave beach for relaxing, if you are staying at The Club you can walk right to this beach from the Club House as its directly in front!
Kiahuna Beach
Also known as Golden Poipu Beach, is a scenic, white-sand beach located in the heart of the Poipu resort area on Kauai’s south shore, right in front of the Kiahuna Plantation Resort and near the Sheraton Kauai Resort. We love it here! the waves are fun to body surf and the water is crystal clear!
Baby's Beach
Perfect if you want to skip the waves and prefer a calm, less crowded beach. Located in a residential area, a bit harder to find since it isn't marked off clearly but the search is worth it and well hidden for a reason! If you are familiar with Fisherman's Cover in Laguna Beach it is very similar to that vibe.
Tunnels beach
If you make your way over to north shore for the day, this beach is iconic and great for snorkeling during summer seasons thanks to its half-moon shaped reef.
Shipwreck Beach
Located in Poipu, a popular, scenic coastal spot located in front of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, known for its dramatic cliffs, surfing, and the adjacent Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail.
Spouting Horn
Spouting Horn is a natural blowhole, where waves are forced through a lava tube, causing water to shoot up to 50 feet into the air. To see it, drive down Lawa'i Road near Poipu; it's best to visit during high tide for the most impressive spouts. An easy bike ride or walk from The Club.
Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail
This seaside trail travels Kauai's southern coastline from Shipwreck's Beach on Keoneloa Bay to the remote and stunning Mahaulepu Beach near Kawailoa Bay. Along the trail, discover rugged sea cliffs, secluded coves, dunes, tide pools, sculpted lava formations, native plants, and petroglyphs.
